Opening
A hooded waffle towelling robe that wraps round the dog and ties at the back. The waffle weave gives the cloth more surface than a flat towel, so it pulls water off the coat instead of sliding over it, and the hood takes the ears and the top of the head.
No poppers, no velcro, no zip. One self-fabric belt, tied over the back, adjusted to the dog in front of you. Seven sizes, L to 6XL, from a small terrier to a mastiff, in powder blue or sage green.
Product details
- Waffle-weave towelling with bound edges throughout
- Full hood, deep enough to cover the ears
- Self-fabric tie belt at the waist. No poppers, velcro or zip
- Patch pocket on the side panel
- Wrap cut covering the back, flanks and chest
- Composition is not published by the maker, so none is stated here
Fabric
Waffle towelling, a raised grid weave that holds water in the pockets between the ribs rather than only on the surface. No fibre content is published for this robe, so none is claimed here. The tie belt and binding are cut from the same cloth.

Measured flat by hand, so allow 2 to 3 cm either way on every figure.
Fit notes
- Back length is the figure to choose on. Measure along the spine, neck to tail base
- Chest is given as the range the robe will close over, not a fixed measurement. The belt takes up the rest
- Weight is the loosest check. A 17 kg spaniel and a 17 kg staffie are different shapes
- Between two sizes take the larger. A drying robe is meant to sit loose
- The range starts at L. There is no S or M, so a very small dog or a cat is not covered
Safety
- Supervise any animal wearing this. It is a drying robe, not a coat to be left on
- Take it off before crating, feeding or leaving the animal alone
- A tie belt can work loose and a trailing end is a snag risk. Check it while the robe is on
- Check the belt and binding after every use. A chewed robe should be thrown away, not patched
- It takes water off rather than replacing drying. This is a pet product and not a children's towel, whatever it resembles
Care
- Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle
- No fabric conditioner. It fills the waffle and the robe stops absorbing
- No hot tumble drying or ironing. Heat flattens the weave
- Air dry flat. The waffle opens up again as it dries
- Wash separately for the first few cycles
Usage
- Goes on straight out of the bath, before the animal reaches carpet or sofa
- Hood up for the ears and head, belt tied just firm enough to stay put
- Cuts drying time rather than replacing it, and lives in the car boot for wet walks
- Two colourways, so a multi-dog household can tell them apart
What is not included
One robe per order, in the size and colour you select. No collar, lead, towel or other item is included, and any animals shown in the photography are not part of this listing.
