Measuring and fit

Measure your dog standing: around the neck where a collar rests, around the widest chest behind the front legs, and along the back from base of neck to base of tail. Compare all three measurements, allowing comfortable room. Check the head opening, leg openings and rear coverage. Your dog should be able to walk, sit, lie down and toilet freely. Keep the neckline clear of the eyes, nose and mouth; do not choose by breed alone.
