Neck: around the base of the neck where a collar sits. Chest: around the widest part of the ribcage behind the front legs. Body: from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, tape straight along the back. Measure your dog standing.

This pulls on over the head, so check the neck measurement carefully — it has to pass over the skull, not just sit on the neck.

Dach S and Dach M are cut for Dachshunds and other long-bodied, short-legged dogs: longer in the body with shorter sleeves.

Check all measurements. If your dog is between sizes, take the larger one.

How to measure and choose

With your dog standing, measure neck where a collar sits, chest around the widest ribcage behind the front legs, and back from base of neck to base of tail. Compare all measurements and allow room for movement. Check that the pullover neck passes comfortably over the head. If between sizes, check the larger size against all measurements. Choose by measurements rather than breed alone.
