Choose by chest first, then check the neck. Pick the size where your dog sits in the middle of the chest range. Between sizes, or a deep chest or thick coat? Go up one size. Two fingers should slide flat under every strap.

Measurements are taken by hand and can vary by 1–2 cm.

How to measure

Chest: around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs.
Neck: around the neck where a collar normally sits.
Back length: from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
Weight: weigh yourself holding your dog, then subtract your own weight.
Use a soft tape measure. Two fingers should slide flat under every strap once fitted.
Between sizes, or a deep chest or thick coat? Choose the bigger size.
